The popularity of college soccer has exploded over the past 30 years. The game itself has evolved, the coaches and the level of coaching has improved, the level of play and the overall quality of players has improved, the facilities and infrastructure of programs has improved, and the competition to get recruited has become even bigger and more complex than ever before. The college game overall has become more professional and has also changed profoundly over the past 6 years with the opening of the transfer portal, with the unlimited transfer rule and with roster limits, NLI money and know witch colleges able to pay players. All this has affected all aspects of recruiting.
Here at ACS we have seen a growing need in four main areas of college soccer:
1. Helping potential student athletes who will be entering college as freshman navigate the recruiting process by providing all the information and resources necessary.
2. Provide resources to help current college players while they are playing in college and help them as they begin to transition out college soccer and as they get ready to graduate.
3. Helping college coaches by providing resources to help with recruiting and other aspects related to college coaching.
4. Connect all organizations and companies that work with or alongside the different aspects of college soccer with recruits, college players and college coaches.
As a person that has been involved in soccer in the US for the past 32 years as a college player, club coach, high school coach, USL manager, and as a D1 college coach for 13 years I have seen a need for a platform that would bring every aspect that touches, or that’s involved in college soccer together. So here at ACS we are creating just that. This platform will be a resource for every aspect of college soccer.
